Circus Arts
For the past 25 years these popular classes have proven to be the starting point for many of our Fruit Flies. It develops good hand/eye co-ordination, physical confidence, builds self-esteem and teaches the essential nature of teamwork.
Originally known as CIKS. (Community Intake Kids Scheme), the program has been redeveloped and expanded to offer circus skills to more kids of varying ages and abilities.
Families are welcome to observe classes on Saturdays. Contact us on 02 6043 0777 or info@fruitflycircus.com.au.

The 9.15am class is one hour. The 10.30am class is 90 minutes long with a short morning tea break. The 1.00pm runs until 3.00pm, and the 3.15pm class also runs for 2 hours. Both have a 10-minute tea break.
At the end of the school year we hold an end-of-year concert. Most of the Circus Arts kids participate to the considerable delight of parents, family and friends. These events are hugely popular for the family and student performer.
There are three paths to becoming a Fruit Fly.
- If a student shows particular skill and/or aptitude, they are invited to participate in a selection process. The end result of this process is an audition.
- Alternatively it is possible to join us by external audition. These are held once a year in September.
- In unusual circumstances external auditions may be held for students who live some distance from Albury Wodonga and/or who have demonstrable talent.
All students who are chosen to join the Fruit Flies are required to attend the Flying Fruit Fly School, a restricted entry Victorian Education Department School, for grades 3 – 9. Grades 10 – 12 usually enrol at Wodonga Senior Secondary College.
