Friends of Fruit Fly (FoFF)
FoFF is indispensible. It is our conduit between parents/guardians to the circus and to the school. This voluntary group supports or arranges functions to help maintain cohesiveness between school and circus. Occasionally the school committee and board of directors asks FoFF to work on particular projects.
FoFF is also a sub-committee of the circus board of directors. It has a representative on the school committee and the circus board.
Meetings are an open forum and are held at 605 Hovell St on the first Wednesday of the month, from 5pm. Melissa Muntz is the convener. Contact the circus on 02 6043 0777 or foff@fruitflycircus.com.au for more details.
FoFF provides …
- a social connection
- a parent perspective on draft and revised policies
- workshops to enhance the emotional and physical wellbeing of students and families
- fundraising, volunteer activities, communication
- feed back
Working with Children
Volunteers, chaperones, FoFF members – in fact anyone who works with the Fruities must undergo a Working with Children Check. The WWC creates a mandatory minimum checking standard across Victoria and helps keep children safe by preventing those who pose a risk to the safety of children from working with them, in either paid or volunteer work. http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/workingwithchildren
Trainers … work for us!
We’re always looking for specialist trainers for short term, project, or long term. This applies to casual and permanent contracts. Get in touch explaining your skill areas and experience.
